How Haitians celebrate 1er Mai, Agriculture and Work day
May 1st of each year is Holiday in Haiti, It is Haitian agriculture and work day. So, How is this day celebrated besides workers getting a day off and the government planting a few trees?
While watching an old video of ex Haiti prime minister Laurent Lamothe, he said 1er Mai in Haiti is a holiday to commemorate all workers in Haiti, government workers, farmers, ti machanns, fishermen, everyone who works in the country.
To each and every "travayè" in Haiti who wake up "chak jouBondye mete" to provide a good and a service to a fellow Haitian in Haiti, Bonne Fèt 1er Mai.
