Is The Haitian Government Slowing Haiti's Reconstruction?

The Washington post has just released an article saying that the reconstruction phase of Haiti is dragging big time. One of the main reason they say is "a lack of coordination and cash and by a virtually incapacitated Haitian government."

In the article, US Senator John Kerry says: "There are worrisome signs that the rebuilding process in Haiti has stalled"

Robert Perito says: "The Haitian government is not really capable of providing the kind of leadership that is required"

Robert Perito is a Haiti specialist at the U.S. Institute of Peace.

Question: What are we supposed to do now?

What are we supposed to learn from this and what are we going to do to fix it?

Remember in the Bible, Proverbs 29:18 says 'Where There is No Vision the People Perish.'

Obviously, it is not only up to the Haitian people for Haiti to be better, we need to have leaders that reflect our desire to become a better republic.

What do you think?

I have serious doubts about Preval's capacity to deal with anything at this point, but to say the Haitian government is incapable of dealing with the reconstruction sounds like the same old bullshit by Americans saying the Haitians can't do anything.

There are capable people in the Haitian government, they just aren't being allowed to take leadership for sucessful and postive
