About 47 million Americans receive food stamps and now, these recipients will now receive less money each month to buy groceries. I know that many Haitian households in America benefit from this program...
There is another problem for low income Haitians living in America... Most of them are sending remittances back to Haiti to help support their relatives back home. So, if they have to spend more money out of pocket to buy food, you can imagine that they will have much less to send back home.
This is just one of the direct impact of how food stamp cuts in America can affect even families here in Haiti.
Whether we like to admit it or not, the economy of a Haitian Diaspora in America affect many at home.
What do you think about that?
Is your family, or someone you know, being affected by these food stamp cuts in the United States?
