Victims of the Zika virus were found in Capital Port-au-Prince in Petionville, in the artibonite region specifically in Verrette. some cases have been found in Mirebalais (Plateau Central Haiti) and other part of the country.

There is no word as to what the Ministry of Public Health is doing on the fight against Zika except asking the population to takes preventive measures to avoid the spread of the epidemic.

Knowing the topography of Haiti, In mt view. it is extremely difficult to manage or control any virus spreading by mosquitoes.

Even if the health department uses spray to kill the insects, it will take a very long time to achieve any seeming success.

Unless there is a vaccination to counteract the virus, and the government is able to spend large sum of moneys; anything else is an exercise in futility.
