BLACKOUTS - Haitian Soccer Fans Complain about Electricity as they Prepare for Coupe du Monde 2014

As Hatians football/soccer fans prepare for "Coupe Du Monde 2014" (the World Cup) in Brazil, many are already complaining about the BLACKOUTS... Many ask will they be able to watch the world cup games without interruptions? Will Haiti's Electric commany (EDH) come to their rescue?

Haiti Football / Soccer in Haiti

One soccer fan who was interviewed on Haiti Radio station made the following plea to the electric company:

"EDH... Tanpri... Fè yon jan pou nou kapab gade Coupe Du Monde 2014... Pa kite nou nan blackout tanpri sivouplè!"

(EDH, please, find a way to help us watch the 2014 world cup. No blackout please!)

One student said: Not just for the World Cup, he feel the people of Haiti needs electricity.

One soccer fan from Hinche Haiti, my hometown, says:

"Wa di se yon konplo moun ki chaje pou match foutbol yo fè ak EDH... Depi gen yon match foutbol EDH bay blackout."

(It is as if there is a plot between those who charge a fee to watch the soccer matches and the Electric company. Every time there is a really good soccer match playing, suddenly there's a power outage!)

What do you think about that.
