Haiti Police chief Godson Orelus is seeking the help from police in the neighbouring Dominican Republic and in nearby Jamaica because some of the escaped inmates may have fled abroad, Jamaica Observer reports.

According to a news report from Associated Press (AP), Haitian authorities have already increased their security along the border with the Dominican Republic...

In the Dominican Republic, the government ordered extra troops to its border with Haiti and were searching for any of the escaped prisoners. Haiti radio Signal FM said the Dominicans are even searching their ocean as well...
