Give Haiti a FISH, Teach Her NOTHING!
Lending a Hand - Pep Haitien lonje men yo pou resevwa kichòy, anyen pa poko tonbe...
Sometimes, I read articles about Haiti that suggests or hints, in an indirect kind of way, that a prosperous Haiti, filled with tourists, filled with businesses, a Haiti that is developing rapidly and successfully is almost contrary to the ordinary course of nature...
Don't you get the impression that most of the people who write about Haiti almost want the Haiti they are accustomed to? i.e. extremely poor and lacking the means to provide for itself?
Remember this proverb: "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime?"
Why are so many people trying so hard to give Haiti a fish???
I think I may have answered my own question but give it a try anyway... Would you feed the poor with your BILLIONS in Haiti or would you provide them with the means to feed themselves?
