Five Haitian Family members die in Car Crash in Long Island NY Sunday

Bad news from the Haitian New York Diaspora... There was a terrible car accident Sunday in the Long Island Southern State Parkway and five (5) Haitians lost their lives including a Mother and here three children...

According to the New York State police, 37-year-old Myriam Lebrun was driving home to Brooklyn NY from a family gathering and somehow, around 11pm Saturday night, she lost control of the vehicle. Her car veered off the road, struck a tree and burst into flames...

Everyone in the car died, Myriam Lebrun, 37, her mother, Marie Rose Yolande Moise, 68, and her three children, Marquis Jeanty, 14, Marcel Jeanty, 9, and Kayla Jeanty, 8.

This is not the kind of news we want to read about in the Haitian community but I have to share it with you...

Our hearts go out to all family and friends affected by this teribble tragedy...
