Does Haiti's Government Care About Haitian Life?

According to Anderson Cooper from CNN, The Haitian Government is in charge of the operation and their priority is food, supplies, and water, BUT NOT medical supplies.

This is why Medical supply planes are being diverted to the Dominican Republic and arriving in Haiti slowly by land while Haitian citizens lay dying in make shift hospitals with voluteers who are desperate to save lives.

Amputations are being done in Haiti with hacksaws sterilized with VODKA!

There's no electricity in Haiti and Doctors are are saying that they are running out of Diesel fuel to power their generators.

7 days after an earthquake and there is no medical supplies.

CNN has been saying it day after day... Haiti needs medical supplies!

CNN has been saying it day after day... The people who are now dying in Haiti are "PREVENTABLE DEATHS"

Where the hell is Rene Preval?

Is he still in power?

Why are medical supplies NOT landing in Haiti?

Not only that Doctors without borders DO NOT have the vital equipments and supplies they need, they now have only 2 days of Medical supplies left.

Planes are landing at the Haiti Airport everyday with everything except the life saving supplies for patients who are hours from dying.

There are hundreds of nurses, doctors, and paramedics who are posting messages every day on www.Haiti911.com saying... I want to help... I want to help...

I am not an expert but I am really trying to understand what the hell is going on here!

People who have been rescued are dying because the supplies they need to stay alive is in transit and or ON HOLD.

In the mean time, SOMEBODY is making decisions for the people!

Are you guys paying attention?

The Haitian government simply do not care, regardless of how overwhelming it might be for them in this incident.

What do you expect from a government what never actually have to do work and never have to worry about the consequences of them not doing work?

The point is, it is not that the people would not be understandable that indeed the situation is overwhelming, but when a government have not yet directly address the people in a heartfelt press conference to give the people words of comfort for solace like Wyclef and Aristide and even Duvalier did. It does not matter how fast or slow a government is working or not working on this overwhelming chaos (we hope and wish it could be fast, rather but...), there is only one interpretation for

Let's not forget New Orleans' Katrina.

It took place in the richest country of the world.

I have been living abroad for 36 years, and I cannot comment fairly on the Haitian government.

When I Said Preval Didn T Care About Haitians Many Left Me Nasty Messages says...

I felt sorry for them at first and cried my guts out. The real news Rene Preval is in the Dominican Republic.

The Spanish folks asked why all police from the north and other parts of Haiti don't come down and help and his answer was "preval is not in Haiti, he is in the DR.
The whole notion that preval is talking to the people through the radio wave is not true and makes no sense first of all no power.

A few years ago, I heard a quote from peasant in a radio from Miami" He gives you food when we are hungry, he cares about peasants etc." I said on this blog...One who gives you fish doesn't care about, he wants you to stay at his heel. If he cares, he'll give you book and teach you how to fish...

Where is preval, where are all the police men in the country as a whole, where are the deputies, the lawyers, the judges, etc.
Oh well, they were all of them were in port-au-prince, I hope they all died. They are not worth being human...not even animal.

I think they do, but it's overwelming for them too. They have families too and this is something unexpected.

I believe they are going to make a lot of mistakes because this a catastropy that's unheard of. So, let's not point fingers.

I believe they could do a little more but I'm seating home not knowing the whole story so I just have to think
