Ban Ki-Moon has just been Served with a Haiti Lawsuit

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon was served with a personal summons Friday, June 20 1014, to appear in a US court by Haitian Lawyers representing cholera victims in Haiti... Well... That's what the lawyers said... The UN is saying something else...

This thing is making lots of noise in the international news media...

According to Agence France Press, these Haitian lawyers claimed that Ban Ki-moon was handed the papers as he entered the Asia Society in Manhattan, where he was scheduled to talk about the war in Syria.

But a UN spokesman denied that the papers were served, saying Ban Ki-moon's security had intervened and that he would not have to appear in court in Brooklyn.

Hmmmm....

You do not attract charitable missions, investors, and secure funds to rebuilt, by harassing the UN's Secretary.

If you do that to a person of Ban Ki-Moon's stature, I can't image what you would do to others that are lower in the chain of command.
