Mgr. Langlois was born 29 Nov 1958 at la Vallée de Jacmel, h graduated with a degree in philosophy and theology at the University of Notre-Dame in Port-au-Prince. he was ordained on 22 Sep 1991.

Satisfied... LOL... Yes Chibly Langlois is Haitian...

The duties of the cardinals include attending the meetings of the College and making themselves available individually or in groups to the pope if he requests their counsel.

A cardinal's other main function is electing the pope whenever, by death or resignation, the see becomes vacant... During the sede vacante, the period between a pope's death or resignation and the election of his successor, the day-to-day governance of the Church as a whole is in the hands of the College of Cardinals.

I am not catholic, but i can make my view regardless the doctrine affiliated to. the priest was appointed as cardinal is a good thing because i am haitian, but religiously does not inspire me. first of all i would to see cardinal a become the next pope. it is not about religion, but it is a matter of pride.

so, the pope himself can not change the world.

religiously speaking, it does'nt matter who is appointed as cardinal.

This is a great honor for Chibly, the Catholic Church in Haiti and Haiti as a whole to have one of his natives to be elevated to such a position in the Church.
