Here is a translation of the message that appears to have been from Malaika Martelly, ex president Martelly's daughter:
Every day you are writing to me asking me where is the PetroCaribe money. Let me tell you something: Before my dad became president he was able to provide everything for me. It is not the PetroCaribe money that made me who I am today.
If I had PetroCaribe money in my hands I would do too much with it because I see too many young women being humiliated in Haiti for a freakin job. Some of them end up working in some night club earning a tiny percentage on each bottle of beer they sell.
I would help them further their education in the USA so they can come back and serve their country.
To be fair, we have to ask:
Did this message really come from Malaika Martelly?
We cannot confirm it; however, this message has created quite a bus from the Haitian social media networks.
You should notice that Facebook account that posted the message, Malaika's last name is misspelled 'Martely" with one "l" instead of "Martelly".
That said, what do you think about it?
