I was in Bon Repos Haiti with a car running out of gas when suddenly I heard there was gas at the National gas station in Bon Repos.

YESSSS... I thought... Fill up and go home!

Yea Right...

There were so many Camionettes, Motorcycles, and pedestrians with 5 gallon jugs at the pump that I could not even get close to the pump...

So... I drove my car all the way to Hinche Haiti risking running out of gas at any moment...

Depi Morne Cabrit limye gas la limen... Scary... Le-m rive Mirebalais, menm gaz pou 80 dola pa galon mwen pa jwen...

Let me tell you, it's not fun when there is shortage of gasoline in Haiti.

Yo dim gas la ap rantre Hinche nan semaine lundi-a men jiska prezan, si-w pagen 60 dola 'H' (300 Gourdes) ou pap kondui pitit.

Ah ! sé pil caca yo yé, pendan yo pran poze yo pa gin gaz nan pump gazoline yo presque tout lot moun bord la rue yo join ni pou yo fè marché noire.

Peut être sa fè afè l'état raqueteurs yo; puisque moun ki bord larue yo ap van ni trois fois la valè que pump yo ta van ni a, yap ka join assé l'argent pou ya'l négocié avec raqueteurs yo anba table sé foutre bon pou peuple.
