The prime Minister promises the fuel should arrive in Haiti by Sunday, Monday at the latest.

There has been a terrible shortage of Gasoline and Diesel in Haiti the last couple of weeks. 258,000 barrels of fuel arrived in Haiti last week but it was not enough to satisfy the fuel hunger in the country.

According to the prime minister, one of the reasons for the shortage of fuel in Haiti is the the whopping 4.2 billion gourdes owed to the fuel importers. "we made an advance of two billion gourdes that will allow them to supplement the money for the order of 500,000 barrels of gasoline," Prime Minister Lapin said.
