True Story: A Man Stole Haiti Telethon Credit Cards To Pay His Bills

Here's a story you don't hear everyday... a Kentucky man stole 170 credit card numbers used in a Hoops for Haiti telethon to pay his own bills, buy movie tickets, and to bail himself out of jail...

The man, Michael Nathaniel Webb, has been arrested and changed with credit card fraud.

I didn't know about this... did you?

The Hoops for Haiti telethon was the idea of the University of Kentucky men's basketball, the Kentucky Wildcats, and their head coach John Calipari.

The "Hoops for Haiti" initiative raised over $1.5 million to benefit the Red Cross for Haiti earthquake relief.
