New Airplane Boarding Gates In Haiti's Airport

In case you haven't been to Haiti in a while, new airplane boarding gates are being installed at the Haiti International Airport.

My little Haiti Airport story...

I remember the first time I left Haiti, I was 12 years old. When I was walking toward the plane, American airlines / Zwazo an fe-a, there was a huge crowd on top of the airport. Everybody's family member was up there waving good bye.

It was pretty exciting!

When I arrived at JFK International Airport in New York (Le-m rive NOUYOK!), I realized that I never got off the plane... I was expecting to get off the plane, walk back down the stairs, and walk into the airport... but for some reason the plane got BIGGER!

So I asked my father:

"Dad, I don't remember the plane being this big, when do we get off?"

Then my father shook his head, smiled, and said:

"Son, we are already inside the airport"

My father is a humble man... but he was probably thinking... ABITAN VREEEEEEEE....

Upgrading with the new Airplane Boarding gates is a good thing but I will be nostagic of the old fashion way of landing at the airport, walking on the tarmac and waving to family and friends up in the balcony.

well it about time, to tell you the truth i am travel around the world, to me haiti was the waste airport, now it needed inside repaired, it very love i am a haitian bahamain, love haiti for life, please ask the gov to do something for the country

Well, it is true that we do have in construction rampways but dont be so happy.

If you dont fly American, you will still need to get down the stairs.

The rampway can accomodate only 2 planes.
